hi.
Has anyone used this successfully with ssh? .I try to login to the remote server but although i have the proper credentials it refuses to log me in. Downloading a more recent version of the ssh library states that this login does only work if non - multifactor authentication is enabled on the server.

Anyone tested to make sure it can be used with professional webhosts such as webdeal for instance?

We are using it with ssh on our servers, and it works perfeclty :-)
Have not tested on webdeals servers.

Hi Lars Eirik,

As the installation documentation for eZ Copy states, it requires SSH2 and SFTPv3 access on the remote server. Are you sure you've got those?

Hi.
I know for a fact that the code terminates before it reaches the sftp process so the problem has to be related to the actual login to the server.
it is running ssh 4.2 and i have also tried with ssh1 and it also denied login.
I emailed webdeal to ask whether they emply multifactor authentication.. as this is what the latest relase of the SSH2 php file indicates to be the potential problem.
When logging in to the environement the following is indicated: [SSH] Protocol Version 2 (OpenSSH_4.2)

Hi.
Could you please let me know how much ram you typically need to allocate in php.ini to have ezcopy do its magic without failing because of ram limitation

After doing some adjustments on the server it does indeeed manage to login and find the files and create an archive , however my local computer seems to shut down as it does not have enough memory. I have tried to boost it, but still does not work.

Will let you know if this is resolved.
