Hello,

I've just installed the extension eZ Approve 2 on my eZpublish 4.3.0

I meet some troubles to set up a new workflow.
I followed the INSTALL.TXT instructions:
5. Select "Event/Approve2" and click "Add event"

And here is the crash:

Fatal error: eZ Publish did not finish its request
The execution of eZ Publish was abruptly ended. Contact website owner with current url and what you did, and owner will be able to debug the issue further.

Any idea ?
Thank you for your reply.

hi Samuel.
I have not used this extension myself, but would like to just ask you if you are running the ezapprove for ezp4 and not the original one which only works on ezP 3.x.
If you look at the svn tree you will find that there is a designated folder for the ezpv4.

Hope you get this to work and good luck with your project.

Hello Lars,

I confirm I'm running the eZApprove2 for eZp4, I downloaded it from here:
http://svn.projects.ez.no/ezappro...ve2/ezp4/trunk/extension/ezapprove2/

In the meanwhile, I have regenerated the autoload array:
Setup > Extensions > Regenerate autoload arrays for extensions

And now the eZApprove2 extension seems to work (for config).

---

However, I have some other questions.
I'm not really sure eZApprove2 will meet my requirements...

Here are below my requirements. I need a 2 steps validation process:
. first group of editors create/edit/modify content, and send request for approval;
. second group of editors are notified from the first group, can (re)edit the content if uncorrect, and then send request for approval;
. and then, a third group is able to approve/reject it for publishing.

Thanks,

Samuel Torton

Hi,

I get back to my previous post.
Actually, eZApprove2 still doesn't work with eZp4.

Here is below the bug I'm facing:

Workflow creation:
. I create a new workflow --> OK;
. And then, for this workflow, I add a new event "event/approve2" --> OK;

When I try to configure the event:
. I can add pre-selected approvers (users and/or groups) --> OK;
. I can configure "Users select approvers themselves" parameters --> OK;
. Whatever the selected section(s) in the "Affected sections" area, they ARE NOT saved in the config... I save the workflow and I get back to it, the selected sections are losed !*

Please help.
Thanks,

Samuel Torton

I found the solution.
There is a bug in the "affected section" template.
The solution is here:
http://projects.ez.no/ezapprove2/...ral/problem_saving_affected_sections

Now, I'm facing another issue.
If I select "Users select approvers themselves" parameter in my event/approve2.
When an editor modifies a content, as soon as he sends article for publication, there is an interface asking him to select users.... and when clicks on "select users", there is a kernel_error: not authorized to access this page.

What rule/policy do I have to activate to give them access ?

Thank you.

Hi Sam or any one else:)
Regarding your question on the policy needed i believe you have to give the user the right to run the colloboration module.

One breif question to you. Did you manage to get other more than one person to view the draft. I am unable to figure out how to configure this. I was hoping that the draft would somehow show up or allow me to edit it if an already existing draft does exist.
