eZ Sitecopier is a small shellwrapper for httrack, a website mirroring
tool. In addition to the shellwrapper, instructions for setting up
Apache to send static versions of the pages is included in the
README.
If your site is mainly displaying static pages (dynamic content not so
important), this solution will help you to maximize speed.
The solution works best if you have an articlebased site and you better
modify the templates to eliminate user confusion over logins etc.
eZ Sitecopier requires a few gnu tools in addition to httrack, and will
probably not run very well unmodified on Windows, though CygWin could
help..
Anyone should run Apache on Linux / *BSD anyway !
